John brings over 30 years of experience in emergency services to the team, including a distinguished career in both the fire service and emergency medical service where he has served as a paramedic for 25 years, He is a certified technical rescue instructor, Plans Section Chief, Communication Unit Leader (COML), Communications Coordinator (COMC), and Communications Technician (COMT). In addition to his expertise in land search and wilderness rescue, John is a licensed ham radio operator with a passion for communications and a keen interest in the technical aspects of radio systems. Having served as a telecommunicator in two states and as the manager of a state warning point and information-sharing center, she brings a wealth of expertise to the field. In addition to her work in communications, Amanda is an integral member of a team developing training and education for emergency services regarding human factors.
